Content policy
Version 1.0 · Effective October 1, 2026
This policy sets the standards that every ad must meet to run through AimBot. It applies to every advertiser and agency that buys through AimBot, whether directly or through an AimBot reseller, and to every ad that AimBot serves on the games, apps and other digital properties of its publishing partners ("partners"). AimBot serves ads in the United States and Canada.
In this policy, an "ad" means an advertisement and everything in it, including its creative, tags, landing page, destination URL and any offer it makes.
If this policy conflicts with a written agreement between AimBot and an advertiser or partner, that agreement controls.
1. Prohibited categories
Ads in these categories never run through AimBot, on any partner, at any price.
- Firearms, ammunition, firearm parts and accessories
- Other weapons, explosives and instructions for making them
- Illegal drugs, drug paraphernalia and products marketed to defeat drug testing
- Adult and sexually explicit content, and sexual services
- Content that promotes hatred, harassment or discrimination against people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, age, sex, sexual orientation or gender identity
- Content that promotes or glorifies violence, self-harm or eating disorders
- Counterfeit goods and stolen goods
- Scams, fraudulent offers, get-rich-quick schemes and deceptive financial products
- Products or services that enable dishonest behavior, including hacking tools, account or game-asset theft, cheating software and academic cheating services
- Tobacco and vaping products
- Ads, products, services or offers that are unlawful where they are targeted or served
AimBot may add categories to this list at any time.
2. Restricted categories (partner opt-out)
Ads in these categories may run through AimBot, but each partner chooses whether to accept them on its properties. An ad in a category that a partner has declined is not served on that partner's properties.
- Alcohol
- Gambling, betting and sportsbook
- Dating
- Pharmaceuticals and prescription products
- CBD and hemp-derived products (not served in Canada)
- Cryptocurrency, trading and speculative financial products
- Weight loss, dietary supplements and body-image products
2.1 Advertiser requirements. Advertisers in these categories must hold the licenses, registrations and approvals their products and ads require, and must follow the age-gating, disclosure, geographic and other rules that apply where their ads are targeted or served. Advertisers must tell AimBot the jurisdictions in which they are permitted to advertise, and provide license or authorization details when AimBot asks.
2.2 Classification. AimBot decides which category an ad belongs to under this policy, and its decision controls.
2.3 Ads for mature-rated games. Ads for games rated Mature 17+ are not a restricted category, but they are served only to audiences that meet the minimum age in Section 3.3, and are never personalized or targeted to users known or reasonably believed to be under 17.
3. Audience restrictions
These restrictions apply to every ad, whatever category it is in and whatever a partner has chosen.
3.1 Children. AimBot does not serve ads on games, apps or properties that are directed to children, as the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) Rule defines them, and applies the same standard to users in Canada. No ad may target users known or reasonably believed to be under 13.
3.2 Teens. No ad may be personalized, behaviorally targeted, retargeted or identity-matched to users known or reasonably believed to be under 18. Ads in restricted categories (Section 2) and political ads (Section 4) are not served to those users.
3.3 Age-restricted categories. Ads in the categories below are served only on inventory where at least 80% of the audience is at or above the minimum age shown, and only to users not known or reasonably believed to be under that age.
| Category | Minimum user age |
|---|---|
| Alcohol | 21 |
| Gambling, betting and sportsbook | 21, or higher if the licensing jurisdiction requires |
| Dating | 18 |
| CBD and hemp-derived products | 21 |
| Cryptocurrency, trading and speculative financial products | 18 |
| Mature-rated games and entertainment | 17 |
| Weight loss, dietary supplements and body-image products | 18 |
| Pharmaceuticals and prescription products | 18 |
Inventory for which AimBot does not have audience age information is treated as not meeting these minimums.
4. Political advertising
4.1 What counts as political. A political ad is any ad that:
(a) is paid for by, or on behalf of, a candidate, political party, political committee or ballot measure committee;
(b) expressly advocates for or against a candidate, political party or ballot measure;
(c) refers to a clearly identified candidate for public office or a ballot measure;
(d) concerns a legislative or political issue of public importance; or
(e) is otherwise regulated as political, electioneering or issue advertising where it is served.
4.2 Where political ads run. Political ads run only on partner properties that have opted in to political advertising, and partners may exclude specific states or jurisdictions. AimBot applies the state and jurisdiction exclusions the law requires when each ad is served.
4.3 Advertiser requirements. Political advertisers must:
(a) verify their identity, their authorization to run the ad and the source of its funding, in the form AimBot requires;
(b) include every "paid for by" statement and other disclaimer the law requires where the ad is served;
(c) not be paid for, directly or indirectly, by a foreign national in violation of US or Canadian law;
(d) comply with all registration, reporting, blackout and timing rules that apply to the ad;
(e) disclose, as the law requires, any AI-generated or materially altered image, audio or video of a real person, and not run that content where the law prohibits it; and
(f) give AimBot the information it needs to keep the records the law requires of those who sell or distribute political ads.
4.4 AimBot's right to refuse. AimBot may refuse or stop any political ad in any jurisdiction, including where a legal requirement cannot be met.
5. Ad content and conduct
Every ad must meet these standards, whatever its category. Ads served in Québec must also meet Québec's French-language requirements
- No misrepresentation of the advertiser, the product, the offer or the price
- No creative that mimics game UI, system messages, error dialogs or platform notifications
- No fake or misleading close, skip or reward controls
- No implying an association with a game, its publisher or a platform where none exists
- No offering or referencing in-game currency, items or rewards that the advertiser cannot actually deliver
- No malicious code, redirects the user did not start, or attempts to leave the ad container
- No data collection through the ad beyond what the campaign was booked with
- No requests for device permissions from within an ad
- No third-party tracking or measurement beyond what AimBot has approved for the campaign
6. Technical standards
Every ad must run correctly on the properties where it is served.
- File size, dimensions, duration and frame rate meet AimBot's technical specifications for the format
- Audio is user-started or muted by default, as the format requires, and never auto-plays at full volume
- No flashing or strobing patterns that risk photosensitive reactions
- Clickthrough behavior follows the format, and in-game ads do not interrupt play unless the format is designed to
- Hardcoded, baked-in and custom units (including advergames) meet the specifications agreed for that unit
- Ads that run in a game or app distributed on a console, app store or other platform also comply with that platform's written advertising rules
7. Review and enforcement
7.1 Review before serving. AimBot reviews each ad against this policy before it is eligible to serve. Review may be automated, by people, or both.
7.2 Changes after approval. An approved ad, including its landing page, destination URL and offer, may not be changed without being resubmitted for review. An ad changed after approval without resubmission violates this policy.
7.3 Removal and suspension. AimBot may refuse, remove or suspend any ad or campaign that violates this policy or the law, and may suspend or terminate any advertiser that repeatedly violates this policy or tries to get around review.
7.4 Advertiser responsibility. AimBot's approval does not mean an ad is lawful. Each advertiser remains responsible for its ads, landing pages, products and claims.
7.5 Reporting an ad. Anyone may report an ad they believe violates this policy to privacy@aimbotmedia.com.
8. Partner rejection grounds
Partners may decline an individual ad on their properties only if:
(a) the ad violates this policy;
(b) the ad does not meet AimBot's technical specifications for the format and cannot run on the property;
(c) serving the ad would cause the partner to violate the law; or
(d) serving the ad would violate a written advertising rule, identified by the partner to AimBot, of an app store, console or platform on which the partner's property is distributed.
Partners may not decline an ad because of taste, brand fit, editorial judgment, or the political, ideological or issue viewpoint it expresses. This does not affect a partner's choice to decline a restricted category (Section 2) or political advertising (Section 4) for a whole property.
9. Versions and changes
AimBot publishes this policy at www.aimbotmedia.com/contentpolicy. Each version shows a version number, an effective date and a summary of what changed, and earlier versions remain available at that address. AimBot may update this policy at any time, and each update takes effect on the effective date it shows.
